Core Areas of Responsibility

Program Strategy & Portfolio Management

  • Translate TEN’s strategic plan into annual and multi-year program priorities.

  • Develop and oversee a cohesive national programming calendar.

  • Identify emerging member needs and opportunities for new initiatives.

  • Ensure programs align with anti-racist, anti-oppressive, and equity-centered principles.

  • Prepare regular program updates for the Executive Director.

Leadership & Organizational Development Programming

  • Design and deliver programs supporting leadership development, governance, funding sustainability, human resources, and operational capacity.

  • Facilitate cohort-based learning programs, workshops, and community-of-practice initiatives.

  • Recruit and coordinate external facilitators as needed.

Member Engagement & Network Convening

  • Lead national virtual gatherings and community-building spaces.

  • Design interactive formats that foster peer learning and relationship-building.

  • Collaborate with Policy Analyst to integrate advocacy and sector updates into programming where relevant.

National Convenings & Conference Programming

  • Lead program design for national conferences and summits.

  • Oversee speaker coordination and session development.

  • Collaborate with external partners and vendors to ensure successful delivery.

Budget, Partnerships & Funding Alignment

  • Manage program budgets, projections, and financial reporting.

  • Contribute to grant proposals and reporting.

  • Cultivate relationships with facilitators, partner organizations, and funders.

Team Leadership & Operations

  • Supervise Membership & Operations Coordinator.

  • Develop work plans and tracking systems for staff and programs.

  • Contribute to internal policy and procedure development.

  • Foster a collaborative and adaptable team culture.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years nonprofit program management, leadership development, or organizational capacity-building experience.

  • Experience facilitating adult learning and cohort-based programs.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

  • Strong bilingual (English/French) communication skills.

  • Budget and reporting experience.

  • Commitment to 2SLGBTQI+ equity and anti-oppression principles.

  • Experience working with national, membership-based organizations is an asset.
